About the Law Library

The Law Library is a research facility designed to support the work of students and faculty of the University of Miami School of Law. With over 630,000 volumes and volume equivalents (microforms), it is one of the largest legal research libraries in the Southeast.

Services

The law librarians and staff are committed to providing a high level of service to the students and faculty of the School of Law, as well as to assisting the University of Miami community, the local bar and the general public. The full-time staff of twenty-five includes ten professional librarians.

Resources

The Library houses group study rooms, carrels with computers, and wireless access throughout the building. Students have access to the Law School network and to the Library's electronic resources, including the Web-based library catalog, uSearchsubscription databasesresearch guides and selected internet resources. The foreign law collection is comprehensive in the law of Caribbean and Latin American states. The special collections and rare books section of the Library includes documents from complex Everglades litigation.
